Marketing in the property management context refers to the whole process of promoting the availability of properties available either via new instructions or expired leases. Agent maintains a marketing database which potentially includes several levels of description for a property, together with key information such as rental and availability. Once a property's details have been entered into the database, they may be extracted for property lists, individual fliers, window cards, web uploading, etc. 'Marketing' implies customers, and Agent also records full details of applicants. Once an applicant makes an offer on a property, a New Deal record tracks the progress of the application, with relevant documentation being generated automatically and the agent's own checklist being applied to the procedure. Providing the applicant(s)'s references are satisfactory, funds are forthcoming, etc., a new tenancy is created automatically. |
